Hurt me more? Tony Stark Crashes into Frank Jaeger, Creates Iron Man Cyborg Ninja

Posted on 6 February 2011

While most sources suggest the project is dead in the water, the announcement of a Metal Gear Solid movie years ago got many fans wondering how Metal Gear Solid would be portrayed in live action. Some fans took the route of imagining it through comparison to other movies, suggesting that the adaptation would borrow the best elements of other films and create it's own unique Metal Gear blend.

For years fans have dreamt of possibilities all over the spectrum from Metal Gear Rex towering over Snake in Transformers-like CGI to Solid Snake himself being portrayed by such favorites as Christian Bale or Hugh Jackman but with a David Hayter voice-over for a David-Hayter-penned screenplay. All Hideo-approved, of course.

One can only imagine how Gray Fox would be portrayed if Metal Gear Solid were to ever make it to the big screen. While these musings will most likely stay just where they are, in fans' imagination, gamers can add one more dream to the pile thanks to the 2011 CollARTible Expo:

What if Gray Fox could be portrayed using the same CGI techniques as the Iron Man movies? Or just for fun, what if the Cyborg Ninja suit was a special Iron Man model built by Tony Stark?

As painful as it is to think of things that are only unrealized possibility, many fans would agree that the fun is in the imagining. So, keep the ideas coming; and as Gray Fox would say, "hurt me more..."

What other possibilities could there be if you looked at Metal Gear in terms of some of Hollywood's other greatest hits?
